VASCO: A nine-year-old boy from Bijapur died in a road mishap near St Andrew’s Junction Vasco on Thursday afternoon.
According to Vasco Police, Sankeet Aloor and his relative Rajendra Lamani were proceeding on their scooter (GA-06-H-9794) towards their residence at Shantinagar.
Police said on reaching near St Andrew’s Junction, scooter rider Lamani while overtaking a truck (GA-02-U-5341) lost control of the scooter and pillion rider, Aloor, fell down and hit his head on the road and died instantaneously.
According to an eye witness, Lamani was overtaking the truck from the wrong side,after having visited the fuel station to fill petrol in his scooter.
