PANJIM: With the government set to finalise the Shack Policy 2013-16 Sunday, indications are that the allotment of shacks will now be based on the 90:10 pattern which has been in force for the last couple of years.
Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar said, “We are having a meeting with the chief minister Sunday to finalise the shack policy giving 90 per cent weight-age to experience shack owners and 10 per cent to new comers.”
He pointed out that the tourism ministry had sought the advice of the advocate general in the matter and all this would be placed before the chief minister on Sunday.
The other terms and conditions in the shack policy approved by the cabinet will remain and the licence will be given for three years, said Parulekar.
