941 vacant beds in COVID Centres

217 in North Goa; 724 in South

Panjim: Five COVID-19 patients including a one-year-old infant lost their lives in the last 24 hours. The mortality bulletin released by the Health Department states that the infant was a known case of kidney disease with bilateral dysplastic kidney disease who presented to the GMC with urosepsis and septic shock. COVID-19 was an incidental finding in this patient. 

The other patients were aged between 51 and 76 years. 

The Health Bulletin on the status of COVID-19 in the State revealed that 356 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours and 479 persons recovered. This takes the total Active cases to 4188 while Confirmed cases stand at 39438 and total recoveries are 34731. The recovery rate stands at 88.06 percent. 

As per the updates about the bed capacity in COVID-19 care centres in the North and South indicates that 217 and 724 beds are vacant across centres in the respective two districts.
