PANJIM: Goa Police suspended 95 police personnel while 12 have been terminated since 2014 on various grounds and 73 suspensions were revoked, keeping 10 personnel still under suspension.
As per official figures, Goa Police suspended one Inspector, three Sub-Inspectors, one Assistant Sub-Inspector, seven Head Constables, one Lady Head Constable, 60 Constables and three Lady Constables.
Out of 95 suspensions, 12 were terminated by the department after passing out from the training school.
Out of 12 terminated personnel six had forged the qualification certificate at the time of recruitment. Two were terminated for not following duties, one was terminated on the observation of Medical Board of GMCH. Another two were terminated as they were found involved is offences at Valpoi and Anjuna police station respectively, while another one was terminated on charges with raping a minor rape girl.
