The residents hope that the facility, which would be thrown open to the public on August 28, would boost tourism in Mayem. Supported by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), the bungee pad at Mayem is 55 metres in height and will be open to those above 12 years.
“The bungee jumping facility will be managed by ‘Jumpin Heights’ and we already have this activity at Rishikesh where over 80,000 people have experienced this thrill. This is the first of its kind in Goa and we expect a huge crowd of adventure lovers from across the world to visit Mayem” Dev, activity manager informed.
As per information available, Jumpin Heights had hired experts from New Zealand to operate the jumps and trained their staff under their intensive supervision. Jumpin Heights, run by ex-Army officer Captain Rahul Nigam, has employed a highly experienced crew and the best equipment in place to ensure safety.
