QUEPEM: In her whirlwind journey of pitstops, Morpilla is were she saw a Goa, almost untouched, but perhaps even uncared. They get water for 20.mins and no recognition or jobs.
“It is your right to have schools, education, water, roads and it is the duty of the government to ensure that the needs are met. Congress party will address the problems faced by you”, said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while interacting with the tribal villagers.
Many of the villagers from Morpirla highlighted the issues faced by them at the village. No proper water supply, one of the locals said that in a day they receive water for only 20 minutes, today the tribal community is not even recognized nor do they have any jobs.
It is sad to hear that people in this village receive water for only 20 minutes in a day, today the BJP has failed to keep its voters happy, time has come for a change & Congress is the change said Priyanka Gandhi.
When speaking on the upcoming polls, Priyanka stated that “When you will go to vote this time, first of all think about yourself, your state and your family. Vote for the party that will solve your issues, On the day of polls every Goan must evaluate the progress of Goa and hold their leaders accountable, It is your right to have schools, education, water, roads and it is the duty of the government to ensure that the needs are met”
She stressed that today the villages of Goa need a change from this Government, There needs to be sustainable development in the villages of Goa but it also needs protecting of the air, water and the other natural resources of the land.
