MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday challenged the Congress to file an FIR against all the eight MLAs defected to the BJP for signing a wrong affidavit at the time of elections.
AAP held a protest on the merger of eight Congress MLAs to the BJP at Lohia Maidan. Margao and stated that the Congress leaders should not fool the people on the issue.
AAP leader Adv Amit Palekar told reporters that if the Congress party has guts, then they should expose those eight MLAs before the public with the help of affidavits, which were signed by them.
“Filing a wrong affidavit is itself a crime and hence Congress leaders must tell the people exactly what was there in the affidavit and proceed with filing FIR against the defectors,” demands Palekar.
