AAP condemns DyCM’s ‘anti-democracy’ statement

PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has condemned the statement made by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza that ‘too much of democracy is spoiling Goa’ and termed it an anti-democracy statement.

Speaking to the media, AAP leader Dr Oscar Rebello said the statement exposes the pro-dictatorship ideological moorings of the Bharatiya Janata Party. “AAP strongly condemns the anti-democratic BJP which if unchallenged will lead to dangerous repercussions for the citizens democratic rights and freedom,” he said. 
He said that the people of Goa should reject a government with such ideologies. AAP, which will be contesting the 2017 Assembly polls, also welcomed of political leaders from Sankhali constituency into the party. The leader were earlier with the Congress and BJP.
