MARGAO: The Aam Admi Party volunteers from Curtorim along with some local senior citizens presented a memorandum to the Margao depot Manager of Kadamba Transport Corporation demanding a bus service to Fondegal ward in Curtorim.
They pointed out despite having 300 houses inhabited by around 1000 persons, most of whom are senior citizens, the ward does not have a bus service forcing people to walk long distance for any and every reason.
“There was a bus service which was stopped suddenly without attributing any reason, last year,” said Richard D’Sa, one of the elderly person who presented the memorandum.
Depot Manager Roque Luis gave them a patient hearing and said he would try to arrange a bus service after studying the current timing and route of buses plying in the area.
