AAP downplays exit of 30 volunteers

MARGAO: Downplaying the exit of 30 volunteers, the Aam Aadmi Party has said that their quitting would make no difference to the party. Denying that 30 volunteers quit the party, AAP said that only nine quit.

Serfino Cota who is the campaign head of Benaulim, Velim and two other constituencies said that those who quit the party were not assigned any work by AAP.
“Two months ago AAP selected a young architect Royla Fernandes. At that time some of our volunteers did raise objection to her selection and the party clarified the issues internally with them. However, yesterday, a couple of them, who we acknowledge worked as volunteers with AAP, have raised the issue again. The rest in the crowd the party does not recognise, and so there is no question of them quitting the party,” an AAP press release read as.
