PANJIM: AAP Goa Vice President Adv Surel Tilve said the State government’s decision to grant relief to over 5.60 lakh power consumers is a victory that belongs to each Goenkar.
Speaking in city, Adv Tilve said, “Together with AAP, Goenkars have forced this BJP Government to abandon some of its looting ways. Goenkars came out in large numbers to attend meetings of AAP’s Veej Andolan, and even larger numbers of Goenkars have supported Arvind Kejriwal’s first Guarantee of Free 24×7 power to Goenkars, waiving of old bills and free power to Goan farmers.”
“Congratulations to the people of Goa, this is our first victory and definitely not our last! Veej Andolan and Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee of free 24×7 electricity give 400 W shock to Pramod Sawant. Only AAP can understand and solve the difficulties of each Goenkar,” said AAP Goa’s convenor Rahul Mhambre.
In a tweet after the BJP Cabinet’s decision Arvind Kejriwal reached out to Goenkars and said “Congratulations Goenkars! Goenkars and AAP Goa fought hand in hand! The result? Today the Goa Govt has announced a subsidy to prevent further rise of electricity prices. Without a Single MLA in the Assembly AAP has stopped the menace of rising Electricity prices in Goa. I appeal to Goenkars- Change your Govt, we will ensure you get free 24×7 Electricity.”
AAP highlighted how Goenkars across the State have supported the first guarantee by Arvind Kejriwal for free 24×7 electricity. The party shared that it has reached out to half of Goa’s households and received an average of 80 per cent of them support the first guarantee by Arvind Kejriwal.
