MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party launched its Lok Sabha election campaign in South Goa with two corner meetings in the Navelim constituency that were addressed by its candidate and party’s Goa convener Elvis Gomes,.
Pointing out that Pratapsing Rane and Luizinho Faleiro were first elected MLAs when many of the people present for the meeting were not even born, Elvis asked for how long would people keep electing the same people who have always suppressed the very people who supported them.
“Pratapsing Rane has been an MLA for 45 years and a chief minister 9 times and yet there are farmers in his constituency that they do not have water to drink, leave alone to cultivate their fields,” he said arguing that all MLAs in Goa have worked only for their selfish interests and not for Goa.
Pointing out that many people in Rane’s constituency did not have toilets, he lamented that Rane had the audacity to insult Goans working overseas by taunting that they are cleaning toilets there.
Asserting that AAP is not a political party but a revolution that will change the system, he said today AAP has provided 70 government services to the doorsteps of the people in Delhi where it is ruling and said Goans will also not have to waste time if the people vote for the only choice which is AAP.
Sidharth said Goans suffered because they did not vote for AAP at the assembly elections as Goans today would have to pay half the electricity bills they are paying, they would have got free medicines and also government services at home.
