PANJIM: The Opposition Congress Party on Saturday demanded that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre should enlighten Goans about why Delhi High Court pulled up AAP Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi
South Goa District Congress Committee President Joseph Dias said that the mismanagement of the entire BJP parivar in handling COVID pandemic is getting exposed day-by-day with Delhi High Court coming down heavily on the AAP government for its failure to arrange tankers to collect oxygen.
“We want to know from Valmiki Naik of AAP what made Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to apologise to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the virtual meeting convened by the PM,” stated Dias.
The Delhi High Court Division Bench stated that “Citizens can’t be allowed to die like this. In case cryogenic tanks are less in supply, we are hopeful that Centre may work this out in coordination with the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), who cannot leave it completely on the Centre. After allocation have you made any effort for the tankers to collect the oxygen?” the Bench asked.
Dias said that the observations of the Delhi High Court make it clear that there is no difference between BJP and AAP with regards to handling of the COVID pandemic. Both belong to the same parivar and hence adopt to the same common tactic of blaming others, he added.
Both — BJP and AAP loudspeakers, who get into rhetoric to get cheap publicity must realise that their governments have failed to provide medical oxygen to the patients, depriving people from their basic fundamental “Right to Life”, said Dias.
The publicity hungry Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal did the live streaming of the virtual meeting with his ‘patron party’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi and than apologised to him which was again a part of strategy to divert attention from the core issue of oxygen supplies, said Dias.
People of Goa must realise that the AAP is a member of BJP parivar which sail in the same boat and have failed to deliver for good of common man, he said.
