PANJIM: The voters of Santa Cruz Constituency are looking forward for the positive change and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is the only party which can bring this positive change for the betterment of Goa and Goans, stated Adv Amit Palekar, AAP candidate of St Cruz Constituency.
Speaking about his broad vision towards the development of St Cruz Constituency, Palekar said, “This constituency is a constituency with no development. People of this constituency are pained due to lack of basic amenities. Irregularity in water supply, lack of sanitation, improper disposable of garbage are haunting the locals of St Cruz. There is absolutely no development done in this constituency. Neither there is a good playground for children and youth to play nor there is Primary Health Centre (PHC) for citizens to rely upon,” said Palekar.
Replying on a reason behind choosing to file a nomination from St Cruz, he said, “I am a voter of this constituency and I have good connections with the people in here. This is my constituency and these are my people. I have worked a lot for this constituency so far. It is painful to see my people suffer. This constituency has received zero development in last 30 years. I strive to work and do something better for my people.”
“We have almost finished with the campaigning. As low as, round 5 per cent of the households, are yet to be covered. Informing further he said, “On an average we cover 150 to 300 households of the constituency per day”.
“AAP is the only party which promises vision and honesty. What more the people can look and ask for? All the other political parties are indulged in corruption. AAP is the only party which has a clear vision for Goa and Goans. The party has planned a systematic and proper roadmap for Goa.”
“Rest all the parties are shifting sides for their very own benefits. They are playing the politics of buying and selling of MLAs,” commented Palekar.
Stating that the AAP is the only credible option available for Goans, Palekar further spoke about his vision for St Cruz.
“I will work for the benefit of people. AAP will give corruption free government to bring about a positive change for the people of Goa.”
He said that the people of St Cruz are upset with the fake assurances of other political parties. “Campaigning, meeting people, communicating with them, listening to their grievances is an amazing journey. Contesting for the very first time is a great experience. Talking to people over various issues insight the extent to which the people of this constituency are fed up with the ruling party. People needs a change now. They have lot of expectations and hopes from educated person like me, and I am happy that people are ready to welcome the change,” said Palekar.
The AAP candidate further said that people are responding in a positive and very nice manner during his door-to-door campaign.
“During door-to-door campaign, many a times I have observed that the people are scared to speak about their issues. They hesitate to open up when asked about the constituency development and the hardships they are facing due to lack of development. The obvious reason behind their silence is that they are scared. They are scared of other party candidates. BJP candidate is supported by the notorious candidate and Congress candidate is having criminal background. I hold a chance and I am confident that the people will vote me for a better change,” said Palekar.
“Give us one chance and we will deliver Delhi model of governance that will prove to be beneficial for the people of Goa,” appealed Palekar.
