PANJIM: The Aam Aadmi Party candidate Prashant Naik and Nonu Naik filed their nominations for the Assembly elections from Cuncolim and Priol respectively on Tuesday.
AAP Cuncolim candidate expressed that this they will win Cuncolim seat. He said, “Cuncolim has seen and elected both the BJP and the Congress but still there is no development. We don’t have a Primary Health Centre in Chandor and Guirdolim. Cuncolim is an urban place but the govt is trying to bring healthcare under Balli PHC. If AAP comes to power, I will set up a 50 bed urban health centre”.
“The people have been saying that they don’t want the BJP and the Congress parties anymore. They haven’t done anything for the people and only worked for themselves and their supporters’ self-development. The villagers are really looking forward to the AAP’s guarantees”, he added.
Nonu said, “There are a lot of issues faced by the people of Priol constituency. Priol has not experienced political or social change and the present and the former MLA never worked on this. Both the MLAs are engaged to instigate quarrel among the people. I am confident that this time AAP will win the election”.
