PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa on Thursday under the leadership of AAP Goa convenor Rahul Mhambre and Tivim Assembly in charge Rasesh Bondre protested the bad condition of roads in Tivim.
The party said the residents are frustrated with the terrible conditions of the road especially during Ganesh Chaturthi and have blamed MLA Nilkanth Halarnkar for the same.
Halarnkar moved from the Congress to the BJP for “development”. Residents can clearly see the amount of work that has not been done by him. Residents all over Goa are upset with the government’s failure to provide them with basic motorable roads, claimed AAP.
“It has become an extreme sport to commute in Tivim. The roads constructed by contractors are of substandard material as the same have got washed away following downpour. It’s clear that the government is not interested in doing anything for Goenkars residing in Tivim,” claimed AAP Goa convenor Rahul Mhambre.
The AAP had staged a protest last week on the pitiable condition of the roads in Pernem.
