MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded that the police personnel posted from Verna to Cortalim to regulate the traffic on the road should be posted on rotation and taken for a medical check-up regularly due to the dust pollution they are facing every day.
AAP Goa Convener Elvis Gomes said the dust pollution on that stretch of road is so terrible that the police personnel must have respiratory problems and have to undergo medical checkup regularly.
“We find it difficult just to drive past the dust there and one can imagine what must be the plight of the police personnel who have to work there continuously,” he said.
