MAYEM: Stating that it will be popular in Goa within few days, leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday said the party has decided to contest both the Lok Sabha seats in the State.

“We have decided to contest both the Lok Sabha seats from North and South Goa and will win both the seats,” Rajendra Kakodkar and Valmiki Nayak of AAP told media in Bicholim on Monday evening.

The first meeting of AAP was organised at Shivaji Ground in Bicholim on Monday evening. The meeting was attended by about 50 villagers from Bicholim. Goa State co-ordinator Rajendra Kakodkar, Valmiki Naik, Sushant Pednekar, Dr Kaustabh Patnekar, Dr Pokle, Avdhoot Parab, Prajyot Bukle, Ramakant Shetye, Anand Mayekar, Kashinath Mayekar, Balkrishna Patnekar and others were present for the meeting.

The members, who attended the meeting, also enrolled their membership forms on the occasion. The members shared their views regarding formation of AAP in Bicholim area. Later, Kakodkar and Nayak briefed the members on the working and future plans of AAP.

It was decided to organise a special meeting at Shivaji Maidan on January 11 at 5 pm to discuss future plans.
