Raising concerns over voter privacy, AAP Goa president Adv Amit Palekar alleged that the serial number printed on ballot papers could disclose a voter’s candidate preference. He said that if the serial number is matched with the election roll during counting, voting secrecy may be compromised. Palekar questioned the Election Commission on the issue and later stated that poll officials assured him the rolls would remain sealed to prevent any misuse.
