AAP’s South Goa candidates emphasise on need for change

Panjim: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa’s new faces contesting the Zilla Panchayat elections stressed upon their desire to bring about a much-needed change in the system.

AAP’s Benaulim candidate Hanzel Fernandes said he has new ideas to deal with the problems as against others who have been in the same game for years now.

He listed out problems in his constituency such as irregular water supply, health infrastructure amongst others. He also spoke about setting up markets for local vendors to sell their produce. 

Confident of winning AAP’s Colva candidate, Aishwarya Fernandes, said ‘people are fed up of Congress and BJP, which are one and the same’. She listed issues in her constituency such as lack of public transport and assistance to farmers. 

AAP’s Xeldem candidate Velroid Mercidon Mascarenhas,  spoke about taking the schemes to peoples’ door steps. He also listed out various works he would take up such as setting up offices to help the people, community farming and reviving Xeldem lake.
