PANJIM: Goa’s Abhida Eshana Barretto scored 680 out of 720- the best known marks for the State- at NEET results, announced on Monday. She stood 905 in all-India rank.
Barretto, the State topper, is a student of Loyola Higher Secondary school, Margao.
Last year, Rubiya Shaikh had got 675 out of 720, which was the best-known score so far from the State at the all India medical entrance test in its NEET format. She had obtained all-India rank of 922.
In 2017, Pratheek Rebello had scored 660 out of 720 from Goa and had bagged an all-India rank of 189, which is still the highest. Barretto scored 99.93 percentile.
The all-India result saw, two boys – from Telangana and Delhi and a girl from Maharashtra, with a perfect score of 720 topping in the country.
