Elections are being held in the three panchayats in Pernem. The panchayats which went to the polls are Alorna, Casarvane and Chandel Panchayats. 56.12% voting was recorded in Alorna; 57.09% voting was recorded in Casarvanem and 55.34% voting was recorded in Chandel Hadsapur. Of these Alorna has 7 panchayat members, Casarvane and Chandel Hadsapur panchayats have five members each.
