MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party on Friday said that the party would soon be issuing a missing notice requesting people to look out for the Education Minister of the State as his absence was strongly felt in the education sector that was unable to cope up with demands of the present times.
Convenor Elvis Gomes said that the various issues related to schooling, exams, fees needed attention which was not seen forthcoming from the government.
Citing the example of animosity between parents on one side and managements of private unaided schools on the other, Gomes said that a good government would have by now intervened and brought both the warring sides to the table and resolved the issue to the satisfaction of all.
“The government has shown no will to resolve any issue. It should have appointed a senior responsible officer to come up with a solution. That would have shown that Goa has an Education Minister who cares for the students and all stakeholders,” he added.
AAP leader Sidharth Karapurkar said that the Union Finance Minister had admitted to the nation that an ‘Act of God’ had shrunk the economy of this country.
He said that parents were stressed out due to cut in incomes, loss of jobs and were looking for some relief.
