Panjim: The academic year 2020-21 for the new trainee of the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Goa will commence from October 26 as per the fresh guidelines issued by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
All the 13 ITIs have already resumed classes for the current batches from September 21 following strict COVID-19 protocol. Approximately 54 per cent of the trainees’ have been attending the training in government and private ITIs.
In a press statement issued by the State government on Wednesday, it is been said that as per the recent guidelines received from MSDE, the academic year 2020-21 will start from October 26, for the newly admitted trainees.
The ITIs have been imparting training in various skill development courses -20 engineering trades and 17 non engineering trades through ten government and three private ITIs.
The training had to be suspended due to the sudden outbreak of the Covid -19 pandemic.
