PANJIM: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has received
positive voice sample reports of three of the major cases they are
investigating. A senior ACB officer said the reports of three different cases are
positive and the samples match the voice of the accused.
ACB has received the voice samples of Dattaram
alias Damu Gawade, the Directorate of Transport peon, Uday Gauns, assistant
director of transport enforcement wing and Vilesh Durbhatkar, Police Sub
Inspector.
Gawade was arrested by ACB last year while
accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh on behalf of his senior officer to settle a service
matter of an assistant motor vehicle inspector. Gauns was arrested by ACB while
accepting a bribe of Rs 90,000 as part payment from a transport contractor to
operate a transport business in North Goa whereas Durbhatkar was caught
accepting a bribe of Rs 2000 at Valpoi Police Station in 2008
All three cases are being investigated and
charges will be filed against the officials.
