PANJIM: In a mishap that took place at Atal Setu Bridge involving three vehicles on Sunday, one vehicle registered in Maharashtra while two in Goa, resulted in heavy traffic congestion on the express bridge for several hours.
According to Panjim Police the accident took place because the driver while driving his car heavily applied the brake after encountering a huge pothole on the bridge. The two other cars heading in same direction dashed onto each other causing a mishap.
Police informed that the traffic got cleared after lifting the vehicle from the accident site using crane. Driver escaped without any injury, informed the police.
