MARGAO: The absence of a quality-control and monitoring system for road infrastructure that is responsible for bad roads and fatal accidents in the State, said Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao.
Slamming the BJP-led state government for being insensitive and irresponsible, Alemao asked them to stop blaming motorists for fatal accidents. “The BJP government failed to take corrective steps and action against the contractors such as MVR Constructions and Dilip Buildcon for their failure to build proper motorable roads and bridges in Goa which has resulted in hundreds of innocent people losing their lives in road accidents,” said the Congress working president.
