With the increasing vehicle population and even as the highways of Goa are expanding ironically the number of accidents is increasing. The road from Housing Board Mapusa via the garbage treatment plant to Siolim has become a death trap. The entire road which is accident-prone is now made more dangerous. The road with its sharp bends has been dug for cabling.
What is of serious concern is that no signboards have been put up to warn road users and what is worse is that there are no red lights put all along since the road does not have street lights. This makes it a dangerous place for accidents waiting to happen.
