Accumulated water in a tank at Vasco turns into a thriving breeding ground for mosquitoes

The water tank of a neglected building in Bogda, Vasco has become a pressing health concern for the local community. The accumulated water has become a breeding site for mosquitoes due to the accumulation of stagnant water, which provides an ideal environment for their reproduction. This poses a serious threat to the health and well-being of the local community, as mosquitoes are known vectors for diseases such as malaria and dengue.

To address this urgent issue, activist Xencor Polji has urged the municipality to take swift action. Implementing effective mosquito control measures, such as regular inspections, larvicide treatments, and proper maintenance of water storage facilities, can help prevent the breeding of mosquitoes and mitigate the risk of disease transmission.

The intervention of the municipality is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of the residents in the vicinity. By promptly addressing the mosquito breeding issue in the neglected building’s water tank, the municipality can safeguard the well-being of the local community and prevent the potential outbreak of mosquito-borne diseases.
