PONDA: Vinod Pokle, the accused booked by Ponda Police under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled  Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act following a complaint by a resident of Satode-Keri, has claimed that he has been falsely implicated in the case.
In a press note, Pokle stated that the complaint against him is politically motivated with an aim to tarnish his image.
Vinod Pokle further stated that he had never visited Satode nor had hired any person to threaten or made any casteist remarks against the complainant and the complaint against him is pressure tactics to withdraw the complaint against the complainant’s son.
It may be recalled that Friday last week, Ponda Police had booked Vinod Pokle from Ponda and two others under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled  Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act .
According to Priti Talgaonkar, two unknown persons at the behest of Pokle allegedly threatened her and her family members of dire consequences.
The complainant further stated that both the accused persons abused them by their caste.
The incident was reported on August 21 night.
The accused were also booked under Section 7 (d) of Protection of Civil Rights Act 1995 and Indian Penal Code 448, 504, 506 (ii) r/w 34.
