MARGAO: Defending Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral over the issue of the pollution of River Sal, BJP ST Morcha and BJP Mahila Morcha on Wednesday challenged Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas to first initiate action against all the houses and hotels in his constituency, who release their sewage into the river.
BJP functionaries Sneha Bhagwat and Anthony Barbosa, also condemned the public spat the MLA had with Cabral over the pollution issue. “He (Viegas) should first ask his party chief (Arvind Kejriwal) sitting in Delhi to look into the pollution that is being reported in the State ruled by their party,” said Bhagwat.
