MARGAO: The petitioner who had approached the courts over the pathetic conditions of the SGPDA markets has requested the District Magistrate to take action against the SGPDA and MMC under Section 188 of the IPC for ignoring the previous orders.
“The MMC and SGPDA have failed to act in public interest and take measures in the matter which endeavours to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at both the SGPDA markets,” said the petitioner in his application.
The District Magistrate had earlier ordered the authorities to maintain cleanliness at the markets.
