MARGAO: Bailancho Ekvott President Auda Viegas on Wednesday demanded that the government consider use of formalin in fish as a grave offence and book those responsible for it under Sections 272, 273 and 336 of the Indian Penal Code for adulteration of food items, selling noxious food items and endangering the lives of others.
She pointed out that fish curry and rice is the staple food of Goans and hence Goans consume fish regularly.
