PANJIM: The Chimbel Gram Seva Kala Ani Sanskruti Manch, a local forum raising various civic issues accused the panchayat’s failure on developmental works, poor water supply, influx of migrants, water clogging at underpass road near Sai baba temple at the gram sabha held on Sunday.
The recent accident at Chinchwada that claimed life of a youth also dominated the meeting.
“Despite sufficient funds the developmental works are not seen. As a result of this; garbage, muds, sewage waste from drainage systems, etc on the roads have become a nuisance,” Gurudas Shirodkar, vice president of the forum said.
The panchayat was also asked on mushrooming illegal constructions.
The villagers informed Panchayat that one local Panch selling these portable gaddas to newly migrated peoples for conducting business. Panchayat replied that they had not issued NOC to any of these gaddas.
