On the occasion of World Tiger Day, Save Mhadei
Save Tiger forum, activists and locals
converged in the capital city to amplify their demands for the declaration of
Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary as a tiger reserve. The forum aimed to highlight the
significance of the national animal and its crucial role in preserving the
Mhadei’s biodiversity. They emphasized the critical role that the national
animal plays in maintaining ecological balance. Activists stressed that the
responsibility of protecting the tigers lies not only with the authorities but
also with the people. The activists pledged to leave no stone unturned in
safeguarding the state’s precious wildlife and protecting river mhadei.
