PANJIM: Education Department has asked students who have been denied admission to approach its zonal offices to resolve the problem.
“The students of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools who could not get admission in any school are requested to register their names along with addresses and phone numbers/mobile numbers of their parents in respective Zonal Educational Offices. The Director of Education will make admission arrangements in any one of the schools in their respective zones where the vacant seat is available,” a statement issued by the department states.
Students have been asked to approach either the Central Educational Zone, Near National Theatre, Panjim; and/or the district Educational Zones at Mapusa and Margao.
Various schools and higher secondaries are facing a rush for admissions and there have been complaints from deserving students of being denied admission.
