MARGAO: The stage is finally set for admissions to Std XI Science and Arts at the Chowgule Higher Secondary school from Tuesday.

Deputy Chief Minister, Francis D’Souza, is expected to make his presence felt at the Education Department, here, tomorrow morning, to issue forms to students seeking admissions to the higher secondary.

Sources said the deputy CM will issue the forms to mark the beginning of the admission process which was delayed this year after the Chowgule Education Society refused to begin the same.

BJP leader Damu Naik said that students seeking admissions should get their forms from the Education Department from tomorrow. “The process of issuing the forms will continue till June 7,” he added.

The government has already served a notice on the Chowgule Education Society for takeover of the higher secondary following its failure to open admissions. The seven-day notice period ends on June 5 and the government is expected to appoint an administrator to man the affairs of the higher secondary from June 6.
