MARGAO: South Goa District and Sessions Court has granted anticipatory bail to James Barreto, a panch of Cavelossim against whom Colva police has registered offence under section 353, 323, 504 of IPC.
The Court has ordered that Barreto be released on a personnel bail bond of Rs 5,000 in the event of his arrest, with a condition to report to the investigating officer as and when required. Cavelosim Sarpanch Viola Costa had complained that Barreto abused her with filthy language, pushed her and assaulted her while discharging her official duties.
