PANJIM: In a step towards modernization of electricity services, the State government has roped in New Delhi-based REC Power Distribution Company Ltd (RECPDCL) to update consumer records.
As per a statement released to the media, RECPDCL that is recognized by the Union Ministry for Power, along with its technology partner Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd will carry out IT implementation work in the department.
RECPDCL will carry out an electrical network and consumer survey to update records of power consumers.
“Consumers are requested to cooperate and provide necessary information related to ‘correct address, contact number and meter details’ to serve better. Upload details will help department to provide better services in respect of no supply complaint, meter reading, bill distribution, bill payments, customer redressal and releasing new connections,” the statement says.
