MARGAO: TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has questioned the way the agitation against the Greater Panjim PDA is being conducted.
He also criticised the Congress for “attempting to rebrand itself in Goa by using activists.”
Answering a question on GPPDA, he said, “Congress is trying to rebrand itself by using these activists, while the real activism within the Congress is now extinct.”
“Congress now is rebranding itself by using the activists by just shouting; by trying to say there is no government; so on and so forth. But people can also see through these issues,” he said adding that many bars in Goa have got relief from the Supreme Court judgement impact after the three member CAC committee took decision and interpreted law in a different way.
“One of the major interpretations was that urban outgrowth areas should be given relaxation from the ban on sale of liquor. Urban out growth areas are the ODP areas; so, in one way everybody took advantage of that relaxation,” TCP minister said.
He expressed frustration that there was continuous opposition to everything.
