MARGAO: Slamming the Congress for not playing the role of effective opposition in the State, the All Goa Private Bus Owners Association (AGPBOA) has demanded that the Congress relieve its general secretary Sudip Tamhankar from the post of party spokesperson immediately.
They insisted that Tamhankar should quit the Congress party at the earliest if the party does not accept his resignation tendered to the party leadership sometime ago.
Addressing the media, Association acting President Sheikh Fayaz accused the Congress leadership of being selfish and using Tamhankar only for its vested interests. “The Congress has only used Tamhankar for its selfish ends. Not a single Congress leader called on Tamhankar when he went on a fast Porvorim, he said.
