Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said agriculture remains an important part of Goa’s economy, alongside tourism and mining. Speaking about the newly launched ‘Goa Fresh’ brand, Sawant said the initiative will promote agricultural products grown by Goan farmers and make them more accessible to consumers. The products will be marketed through various outlets, including five-star hotels, creating wider opportunities for local producers. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the market for locally grown farm produce while supporting Goa’s farming community and encouraging greater consumption of agricultural products from the state.
