VASCO: PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral said that the government will implement the amended Motor Vehicle Act after installing signals on traffic islands where the government will use artificial intelligence to capture all traffic violations and issue challans.
“To begin with, this system will be installed and tested near Merces bypass circle in December and subsequently it will be implemented on the new Zuari Bridge,” he said.
Cabral said that the new eight-lane bridge will be fully built and ready for vehicular traffic by December 2024 and only then the old cantilever bridge might be closed for all types of vehicular traffic.
