PANJIM: Doctors from All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Dr Rajeshwary and Dr Ananth Mohan on Tuesday visited the GMC wards and ESI hospital, Margao to see the arrangements made by the State government.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said the AIIMS team is happy with the facilities and they have suggested some minor changes, which will be done.
“The AIIMS doctors wanted HFNO machine and ultrasound machines, which have already been ordered. We are taking all steps to provide best treatment to Goans,” Rane said.
He however lamented that the State is facing severe shortage of plasma donors.
“We have started facing shortage of plasma and it is my appeal to people to come forward and donate plasma as it can save lives. Only discharged people from COVID hospital can save lives,” he said.
