PANJIM: The session’s court on Monday adjourned the hearing on the anticipatory bail plea moved by social activist Aires Rodrigues, who has been booked for sexual harassment, to December 15.
Crime Branch, which is probing the case, requested the court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Irshad Agha to reject Rodrigues plea as they have to recover some material from the activist.
Police Inspector Dattaguru Sawant told the court that the crime was ‘evil in nature’ and that the accused was not cooperating with the investigating agency.
In his defence, social activist Aires Rodrigues said he was cooperating with the investigators and has responded to the summons issued by them.
The social activist Aires Rodrigues, has been booked on charges of sexually harassing a woman, after she file a complaint with Anjuna Police alleging that he had sexually harassed her through social media posts by linking her with a minister.
Crime Branch has issued a fourth summon to Rodrigues asking him to appear for questioning on Tuesday.
