PANJIM: Social activist Adv Aires Rodrigues on Monday filed an appeal against the order of Public Information Officer (PIO) at the Goa Legislature Secretariat declining to furnish information sought by him under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

The appeal will be heard by Secretary (Legislature) Namrata Ulman, who is the designated First Appellate Authority under the Act.
Adv Rodrigues on June 28 had sought a copy of the file notings and correspondence pertaining to the two-day training workshop for MLAs held on June 27 and 28 at Panjim and also complete details of the expenditure incurred on the event.
