AITUC: 70 helpers not paid since August ’15

PANJIM: Alleging that as many as 70 pre-primary helpers have not been paid salaries for the last five months, All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) has demanded that Education Department stop this injustice.

The union alleged that the 70 helpers, employed with different pre-primary schools under the Education Department, have always been a victim of delayed payment of salaries.
“They are never paid salaries on time. This time they have not received salaries from August 2015,” AITUC General Secretary Christopher Fonseca, who has taken up the matter with the department, told Herald.
