PANJIM: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) has extended its full support to the KTC Drivers and Allied Employees Association (KDAEA) and its plans to go on an indefinite strike soon if their demands are not met.
AITUC emphasized on the need for restoring Provident Fund at 12 pc on total salary, immediate procurement of 250 new buses, stopping outsourcing of profitable interstate routes, reviewing electric buses, discontinuing the Mhaji Bus Scheme, and addressing unresolved issues related to the 7th Pay Commission.
The association opposed outsourcing of profitable interstate routes and urged the government to suspend the Majhi Bus Scheme.
