Akhilesh for world rope skipping

PANJIM, JULY 9 Akhilesh Rajkumar Desai, a Std VIII student of New Goa High School, Mapusa has been selected for the Indian Rope Skipping team which will participate in World Rope Skipping Championship in Loughborough, UK from July 27 to August 4.

Akhilesh Rajkumar Desai, a Std VIII student of New Goa High School, Mapusa has been selected for the Indian Rope Skipping team which will participate in World Rope Skipping Championship in Loughborough, UK from July 27 to August 4. The Indian team consisting of 13 players will participate for the first time in the championship and Akhilesh is the lone Goan selected for the same.
Akhilesh, a very prominent player of Goa has represented the State six times at the National level and has bagged nine gold, ten silver and four bronze medals till date. The 13-year-old has proved his skills in jogging steps, triple enduaers and double enduaers which are considered to be his speciality amongst 970 different skills.
The teenager will leave Goa on July 13 to attend the 15-day coaching camp in Merut (U.P.) from where the team will directly proceed to England.
The  Goa Rope Skipping Association had congratulated Akhilesh for his selection in the Indian team and wished him all success at the world championship.
