MAPUSA: Even as the Goa police have cracked the whip against drunken driving in the State, it has come to light that some alcometers- a device to determine whether a person is drunk or not through their breath sample, given to police stations are not in working condition anymore.
According to Anjuna police, the alcometer has been given for repair and is yet to be returned while the one which is with RTO constantly hangs up. The alcometers from other police stations have been borrowed for temporary use.
